Olfactory Projects

Perfumer and scent researcher Laimė Kiškūnė creates olfactory art experiences and unique scent concepts for art exhibitions, events, public happenings, and installations.

In recent years, Laimė has contributed to the Liudas Truikys exhibition “Art is a Sacrifice for the Balance of the Cosmos”, took on the responsibility of reconstructing the nearly vanished aromas of six legendary scent installations by artist Aleksandra Kašubas, and curated a scent installation for the exhibition “The Tail Wags the History”, where visitors can smell a variety of scents familiar (and not so familiar) to a dog’s nose — including wet dog fur and carrion. These are just a few examples of the unusual and complex projects she is often invited to work on.

More historical examples of olfactory experiences and exhibitions can be found here.
